Xiamen Airport Express

Airport express is a bus that runs only between the city and the airport, seven days a week. The first ride of the bus is at 5 am in the morning and it operates until the last flight of the day. The point of departure of Xiamen Airport Express is the bus terminal in the city center.

Public Transportation

The most preferred way to reach the airport from the city center both for the residents of the city and the tourists who are in town for business or leisure is to use public transportation; because it is  both economic and environment friendly. It is possible to reach the airport by public transportation not only from the city center, but also from several different points of the city. Buses numbered 27, 37, 41, 81, 84, 91 and L9, all goes to the airport. These buses cost 1 Yuan (CNY1) per person and operate between 6 am and 10 pm.

Taxi

There about 5 thousand taxis operating in Xiamen city. It is possible to reach the airport in a comfortable and fast way from the city center by taking a taxi. Taxi service in Xiamen is much more cheaply compared to most of the tourist destinations all over the world. It would cost around 30-40 Yuan on average to reach the airport from the city center. The night tariff is valid from 11pm to 5 am in the morning; you would pay 20 per cent more compared to day tariff.

Car Rental

Renting a car in Xiamen is one of the most ideal ways to see the city and reach the airport on your flight day. There are many car rental companies in the city. If you are going to deliver the car at the airport, please note that companies like Avis, Shenzou and Henghaou have offices at the airport. These companies serve the passengers on a daily basis during the week from 9 am to 21 pm.

Shuttle

If you have preferred a Xiamen hotel during your stay, you might ask for a shuttle service from your hotel. Most of the hotels in Xiamen provide free or paid shuttle service to their guests. Consider this option in order to have a fast and comfortable trip to the airport from the city center.

Airport Information

Located in the north of Xiamen Island, Xiamen Gaoqi Airport is the 11th busiest airport in China in terms of passenger traffic. The airport has two terminals, T3 and T4, and is getting closed after the last flight of the day. This is why the passengers are not let to stay in the airport during the night.

Xiamen is a well-developed airport that is designed to serve many needs of its passengers.  The airport is full of restaurants where you can taste local Chinese cuisine as well as international cuisines, cafes where you can spare your time while waiting for your flight, and various stores where you can have a happy shopping experience based on “same price with the city center” principle. Quanzhou Airport is located about 8 kilometers from the center of Jinjiang in China. There are transfer alternatives such as taxi, airport shuttle and bus for passengers arriving at Quanzhou Airport which connects the region with many cities like Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. By travelling to the city center from the airport where there are reciprocal flights to Chengdu, Nanjing, Taipei, Busan, Hangzhou and Manila, you can also use private shuttles. Buses are very affordable in Jinjiang but sometimes can be very crowded and tiring compared to taxis. Renting a car is ideal for those who want to travel to other places in the region without being dependent on the departure times of the buses.

Bus

You can travel to many parts of the city center by getting on one of the bus routes K603, K604 and K901 departing from the airport.

The bus route K603 provides direct transportation to points such as Huazhou Market, Quanzhou and East Street.

The bus route K604 carries passengers to Yunfu City bus stop, South Citong Road, Century Avenue and South Heping Road.

The bus route K901 can be used to reach points such as East Beiqing Road, Shiquan Road, Heping Road, Fuzhuangcheng and Shishi Clothing City.

The bus routes offering transportation service between the airport and Jinjiang city center are in the service of the passengers from 06:10 am to 09:00 pm. The bus routes operate every 8-10 minutes. In general, the bus routes carry passengers to train stations and bus stops until 07:00 pm.

It is possible to benefit from the buses in Jinjiang by paying only a few Chinese Yuan. In this respect, buses can be a much more economical option than taxi, car rental and other alternative transportation options.

You can also travel to different cities by coming to the bus stops in the city center and intercity bus terminal by bus.

Airport Shuttle

If you get on the free shuttles departing from the terminal of Quanzhou Airport, you can travel in the direction of Shishi. The destination of the shuttles is Shishi Aile Crown Holiday Hotel. Free shuttles start operating at 06:10 am and carry passengers to the city center from the airport. They offer service until 09:00 pm. Those who want to come to Quanzhou Airport from the center by airport shuttle can benefit from this service from 05:30 am.

Putian shuttles, which offer service for an average of 35 Chinese Yuan, are in the service of passengers from 07:30 am. Travelling with these shuttles which operate until 06:15 pm is a bit expensive than buses. However, it can be said that these shuttles are much more affordable than taxis in terms of transportation from Quanzhou Airport.

Taxi

There are taxis waiting in front of the domestic terminal just outside of Quanzhou Airport. You can get on a taxi at any hour of the day and travel to the center in a comfortable and quick way. The taxis offering service at the airport carry passengers from Quanzhou Airport to the train station for about 40-50 Yuan.

You can get to the Kaiyuan Temple for 30-35 Yuan, to Qingjing Mosque for 30 Yuan and Luoyang Bridge for 50-60 Yuan if you prefer a taxi for your transportation.
