Vladivostok city center is about 40 km from Vladivostok Airport, thus you can choose from several transportation means. City buses and taxis, but especially electric trains, are mostly used by tourists. For a more comfortable transport, you can rent a car by choosing one of the car rental companies. It takes a maximum of one hour to go to Vladivostok Airport from the city center.

Electric Train

Electric trains are the cheapest and most reliable mean of transportation that you can use to get to Vladivostok Airport from the city center and they are often used by locals within the city. Electric trains pass through many train stations within the city and go directly to Vladivostok Airport. You can take the electric train waiting at the Artyom Station, Ugolinaya Station, Vtoraya Station, Morgorodok Station, Pervaya Rechka Station or the Vladivostok railway station in the city center. Bus

If electric train timetables are not suitable for you, you can also use city buses with frequent service. You can arrive at the airport within a maximum of one hour if you take the bus 107, which departs from the bus stops located at the most central points of the city and arrive at the Vladivostok Airport. Ticket for bus 107, which provides transportation seven days of the week, is only 100 Rubles as of 2016. In addition, you can use shuttle bus number 7, even if it rides less frequently unless its timetable suits you, because these buses go straight to Vladivostok airport. Although public transport is well developed, the use of taxis is very common in Vladivostok. The prices are a bit higher than the average, but you can use them in cases where you need to reach the airport late at night. Primavtolayn, which offers transportation services at a more affordable price than other taxi companies, only provides transportation services between Vladivostok Airport and Vladivostok city center. You would pay 1000 Russian Rubles if you want to go to Vladivostok Airport from the city with the allocation of this company, and 1700 Russian Rubles if you choose one of the other companies.

Car Rental

There are much more options in Vladivostok city center compared to the airport and you would certainly benefit financially from choosing one of the domestic car rental companies. Once you pick-up your car in minutes with your international driver's license and pre-reservation, all you need to do is to take the M60 coastal road in the north of the city. You are likely to arrive at Vladivostok Airport in 40 minutes.

Vladivostok Airport, the largest airport serving in Southeast Russia, is located near Artyom; it is located 40 kilometers north east of Vladivostok city center. If you are going to travel to the city center from the airport using public transportation then the fastest transportation alternative is the minibus. You can also transfer to a bus or trolleybus from the minibus depending on your destination.

Minibus (Marshrutka)

After you exit the airport you can easily get on the minibuses, also known as marshrutkas, which travel to the city center in a short amount of time. These minibuses also have an extensive network within the city. There are hundreds of minibuses that operate all throughout the city. You can download the app or check online to find out which minibus to take depending on what part of the city you are in.  

Bus and Trolleybus

Buses and trolleybuses do not operate from the airport. However, after you get on the minibus you can transfer to these vehicles. Buses and trolleybuses are the second most commonly used method of transportation after the minibuses. Buses and trolleybuses operate in a more limited area than minibuses and are much slower.

Minibuses will stop to let passengers on and off almost anywhere but buses and trolleybuses are not allowed to stop anywhere that isn’t a designated bus or trolleybus stop. Nevertheless, these vehicles are cheaper than minibuses.

Entry to the bus and trolleybus is from the back door and passengers getting off use the front door. Taxi

One of the most comfortable methods of transportation to the city center from the airport is by taxi. There are many private taxi firms located in the city and it is quite easy to find a taxi. Taxi day fares are cheaper than night fares. In addition to private taxi companies there are also official taxi companies, which have a taximeter that they will turn on upon request.

Airport Information

Manas International Airport was formerly used as a military air base. Today Manas International Airport, located 25 km from the city center, hosts visitors from many different countries from around the world. The airport doesn’t offer extensive facilities.

There are a lot of ATMs located in the passenger arrivals area. Besides that there are some cafes and shops where you can go shopping, however these venues only operate until a certain hour.
