Transportation to Venice Airport from the City Center

You can reach the Marco Polo airport in 25-30 minutes directly by ACTV and ATVO buses departing from Rome Square. You can also get the trams departing from Santa Lucia Railway Station. You can go to Venice Marco Polo Airport only by taking the buses afterwards that transfer to the airport. Taking a taxi is another option.

Water taxi, vaporettos is a pleasant way to get to the airport directly by the canals, but it would take you a bit longer this way to get to the airport.

Airport Information

Marco Polo Airport is 7 kilometers from Venice and is one of Italy's busiest airports. The airport consists of a 3-storey building. Entrance floors are reserved for incoming passengers, while 1st floor is reserved for departing passengers and check-in procedures. There is a VIP Lounge and offices on the 2nd floor.

There are banks, cafés and restaurants, car rental offices, hotel reservation banks in the incoming passenger area. On the departing passenger area there are cafés and restaurants as well as stores where you can shop for books, clothes, accessories or souvenirs.
