Simferopol is the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Although the city has a very low population ratio, it has an important role in terms of industry, trade and agriculture. Simferopol welcomes its visitors at Simferopol International Airport. The airport is known as the only airport that provides international transportation services within Crimea. Lenin Square not only hosts many events, concerts and activities, it also constitutes the city center. It is possible to say that public transportation facilities are good in Simferopol.

Minibuses known as “Marshrutka” in Slavic countries provide transportation to almost every part of the city.  In addition, you can also travel to many parts of the city by taking the advantage of buses and trolleybuses.

The four main bus terminals in the city are the Central Terminal, Resort Station, Eastern Station and West Station. There is a also railway station in the city, yet the station is only used for intercity or international transportation.

If you are planning to travel by public transportation, you can prefer buses and trolleybuses departing from the central bus terminal, railway station and many of the frequently preferred bus stations.

Bus

Some bus lines are also available for bus services after midnight. Among the buses serving on this line, the bus number 49 departs from the central bus terminal directly to the airport at 10-minute intervals.

The bus number 49A departs after midnight from the railway station and the central “Resort” bus station. The bus number 98 goes to the airport from the railway station and the central bus station on the western part of the city at 15-minute intervals.

The bus number 100 departs from the “Eastern” bus station; the bus number 115 runs parallel to the line 98 and goes to the airport at 15-minute intervals. Travel by bus takes about 30 and 40 minutes depending on their departure points.

Trolleybus

Trolleybus is also preferred as much as the buses for transportation to the airport; however, ticket prices for trolleybus are higher compared the buses. The trolleybus number 54 departs every 12 minutes from the railway station, central bus terminal and “Resort” bus station.

The trolleybus line 55 departs from “Kurortnaya” station, city center, central bus terminal and the Yalta area at 14-minute intervals.

The trolleybus line 9 provides transportation services to the airport from the railway station, central bus terminal and “Resort” bus station.

Taxi

The taxis that you can easily get in the city center offer a comfortable transportation alternative for you. You are advised to bargain with the driver about taxi fare in advance if you are planning to take a taxi. Instead of taking a taxi, it is also possible to benefit from the private transportation services by making an online reservation and get to the airport by taking the advantage of “pick-up” service from your door.

Rent a car

Renting a car is another comfortable transportation option you can prefer for transportation to the airport. If you want, you can rent a car from the offices of car rental companies in the city center, as well as you can also make online reservation to book your car in advance.

Airport Information

Simferopol International Airport hosts International and Domestic terminals. Although it is a small airport, Simferopol Airport provides a high-quality service for its passengers with a clean and well-maintained terminal building. There are small cafés in the airport building as well as a duty-free store where you can buy various products at affordable prices.

Adana, which is the largest city in Mediterranean and Eastern Anatolia regions, is the Turkey’s fifth largest city that is connected to the world through Şakirpaşa Airport, which is located in Seyhan district. It is very easy to get to the airport which is 5km away from Yüreğir district, Kayalıbağ and Reşatbey neighborhoods which are accepted as the city center.

Although they are not headed to Adana, there are shuttle services and HAVAŞ buses at the airport. However, these buses only go to Mersin and Hatay.

Municipal Buses

You can reach the city center by riding on the municipality bus number 135 departing from Şakirpaşa Airport, which is located in Seyhan district, the most crowded district of Adana. You can reach the city center, Çukurova University and Turhan Cemal Beriker Boulevard connecting to Girne Boulevard by bus which you can take from the bus stops at the airport.

It is also possible to take the bus number 135 to reach the metro stations running on Akıncılar-Hospital route. The buses run hourly between 6 am and 7 pm every day and departs from the airport and Çukurova University simultaneously.

Minibus – Dolmush

At the airport, you can benefit from the minibus and dolmush transportation, which departs at shorter intervals compared to bus; it is a more preferred option because of the short distance from the airport to the city center. There are two minibus lines as Airport-City Center and Meydan (Square) carrying passengers to the city center. It would not be wrong to say that minibuses and dolmush pass through in a few minutes in both directions.

Taxi

You can also take a taxi at Şakirpaşa Airport to reach the city center along the Seyhan River.  Taxi is not an expensive option, because the airport is close to the city center.

Car

Adana Şakirpaşa Airport also offers various possibilities for those who wish to travel by their own cars in the city. There are 9 car rental offices at the airport including 5 at the Domestic Terminal and 4 at the International Terminal.

The airport also has an outdoor parking area with 569 cars capacity. If you drive through Turhan Cemil Beriker Boulevard following the Barış Boulevard at the exit of the airport, this route leads you to Sabancı Mosque, Girne Boulevard, Yüreğir Coach Station and Adana Archeology Museum in the city center.
