You can reach Pisa International Airport from the city center very easily and quickly. You can use the shuttle services or take bus to get to the airport located one kilometer away from Pisa. If you do not prefer public transport you can take a taxi. Some accommodation centers also offer airport shuttle service to their guests. It is also possible to reach the airport with this vehicle if you have rented a car during your travels.

Bus

You can reach the airport by taking buses from the city center departing every 10 minutes. You can get your ticket from the buffet or from the machines at the bus stop. One way ticket price is 1.20 Euro.

Taxi

You can easily find a taxi in the city center of Pisa or you can ask your hotel to call a taxi for you. There is also a taxi stop right in front of the main train station. Taxi transfer from the city center to Pisa International Airport costs between € 6.50 and € 10.00.

Car Rental

Pisa city center hosts offices of numerous car rental companies. From here you can easily rent a vehicle according to your budget. Your hotel can help you with this. Please note that you must have an international driver's license to be able to rent a car. If your driver's license is not valis, it is also possible to rent your car with driver.

Hotel Shuttle

Some hotels like Pisa Airport Accomodation, Antica Dimora Pisa, B & B Piccolo and Pisa Apartment offer free airport shuttle service. Some of the hotels in the city center can offer this service at a fee. You can request a vehicle according to the departure time of your plane by reserving in advance with your hotel. Although hotel shuttles are an extremely convenient alternative to transportation, they can cost a bit more.

Pisa International Airport has all the basic services like pharmacy, exchange office, and ATMs. There are also small and large eating and drinking areas that appeal to different tastes. You can buy souvenirs, accessories, clothes or books from the shops at the airport. There is a lounge for comfort-conscious passengers. It is also possible to shop at duty free stores.

Artistic events such as exhibitions are held in some periods in the airport. One of the most enjoyable features for the passengers is that the airport is just 1 kilometer from the city center of Pisa and it offers a lot of alternative transportation.

You can get to Ankara’s central locations like Kızılay, AŞTİ, Gar, Sıhhiye and Ulus from the capital’s only airport Esenboğa Airport using Belko Air municipal buses, EGO buses, taxi, and personal vehicle.

You can also rent a car at Esenboğa Airport, which is located 28 km from the city center.

Belko Air

A service of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, these buses provide transportation between the airport and central locations in the city, like Kızılay, Sıhhiye, and Ulus. The 442/A and 442/K lines operate between 6 am and 12 am in both directions. These 45-passenger buses feature hostess services.

EGO Buses

The 442-3 bus line takes off at the terminal exits. While the line is infrequent it does provide transportation to AKM, Ankara Arena, Güvenpark, Ulus, and Sihhiye.

Taxi

Within the city taking a taxi is generally affordable but since the airport is located 28 km from the city center, getting to the city by taxi is a more expensive alternative.

Rental Car

Located in the domestic terminal at the Esenboğa Airport are 11 car rental agencies, including Sixt, Avis, Budget, Central and Hertz. You can rent a car to get to the city center; there are car rental agencies located in the city center as well. The city is easy to navigate by car when its not rush hour.   

Airport Information

The Esenboğa Airport is frequently used by government staff and therefore features many amenities. Those awaiting their flight in the domestic terminal can get a quick bite to eat or some coffee at Caffe Nero, Ankar Café, Bus Gate, or Bufe Ic Hat. If you prefer local Anatolian flavors head to Tadinda Anadolu. Bomonti Brasserie is ideal for those interested in international cuisine. This terminal also has fast food restaurants like Burger King.

If you’re traveling internationally, the departures and arrival terminals have many cafes, kiosks, and bars. You can also enjoy some tax-free shopping at Duty Free after you go through passport control. Both terminals have souvenir shops and kiosks that sell general items.
