Airport Information

Kandahar International Airport in Afghanistan is located 17 kilometers southeast of Kandahar. As well as being the second largest airport of the country with its large capacity of 250 airplanes, it is also one of the largest military bases. Due to its important location, it is used for military and civil flights.

The airport, which was restored in 2007 and gained new facilities, is a structure built between 1956 and 1962 with a plan designed by the United States.
