Havaş

Havaş shuttles that take off from Çeşme, Alsancak, Karşıyaka-Mavişehir and Kuşadası are the most preferred means of transportation to the airport.

Cafes, bars and restaurants located in the terminal include Cafe İzmir, Cafe Nero, Express-o Busgate, Express-o Hava, Express-o Kara, Gloria Jean's Cafe, Kantin, Ekmekarası Café, Beer Port Bar, Burger King, and Ton-Ton.

In addition, if you want to go shopping you can visit the Old Bazaar, Gift Shops, Desa, Alsancak, Toyzz Shop, D&R, Samsonite, Simpark Tobacco Shop, Duty Free Shop and Setur stores.   

Passengers who want to spend time in the terminal can explore the exhibition at the TAV Gallery in the international departures hall or watch TV and connect to the internet while enjoying food and beverage service at the Comfort Lounge or Millenium Lounge.

One of the largest in Peru and South America and Coronel FAP Alfredo Medivil Duarte Airport which is also known as Yanamilla Airport is just 2 kilometers from the city center of Ayacucho. If you do not have any obstacles such as luggage which is difficult to carry, you can walk to the city center in 15 minutes or you can also easily reach the city center by taxi, bus, rental car and hotel transfers.

Taxi

In a accordance to the landing times of planes, taxis are located at the terminal exit at Yanamilla Airport to travel to the city center and it almost takes as long to travel to the city as it does getting in and out of the taxi. Although the journey is short, your payment is equivalent to 1.5-2 USD. You can pay by the currency in Peru or you can pay with currency like Euro, USD. So you do not experience a surprise when you get to your destination we suggest you ask how much you will pay in advance and if it is too high of a figure try to negotiate the price before hand. Apart from the 4 passenger taxis, you can choose from a wide range of larger shared taxis that are called Colectivos that can carry up to 5 passengers. These taxis are a lower model vehicles and cumbersome but an advantage is they provide a more affordable price. If you want to go to the same drop off point with a few passengers can use these taxis. Although the taxi drivers at Yanamilla Airport do not speak English, they can easily understand your hotel name or your destination.

Bus - Minibus

If you prefer to take advantage of the affordable economical public transportation alternatives to travel from Yanamilla Airport to the city center, let us remind you that the roads in the city are bumpy and the buses are not equipped for difficult road conditions so the buses do not offer a comfortable journey. In addition because the buses are very crowded, you may also have problems with your luggage on the buses. Buses to Huanta city which is 25 kilometers away from the airport, stop by Ayacucho city center on the way. The transportation prices of local bus companies are cheaper than taxis but can be close to each other but this can vary. Minibuses are the most rarest vehicle to be found at the airport and only in the morning time.

Rent a Car

At the airport you can rent a car from local and international car rental companies and you can get a better price if you book online and make a reservation before you arrive and you will have more vehicle options this way. The area has international car rental companies such as Hertz, Budget, Dollar, Europcar and Alamo. You can collect your car from the terminal exit and you can easily reach the city center by following the road signs.

Hotel Transfer

You can ask whether the hotel you are staying in or near to the center of Ayacucho have a transfer service to and from the airport, so when you land and then exit the terminal building you can easily transfer to the city.
