It’s easy to get to Innsbruck Airport using the popular public transport options such as trains and buses from Innsbruck city centre. The only thing you need to do is go to the train station, or find the bus lines that take you directly to the airport. Train

You can reach the Innsbruck Airport easily by taking on of the fast inner city trains operated by Austrian Railways (ÖBB). These trains, which are both practical and economic, leave from Innsbruck Mitterweg/Unterführung next to the city centre, and go directly to the airport passing through Innsbruck Westbahnhof’tan (Egger-Lienz-Sraße). The cost for a one-way ticket is 4-7 euro as of 2017. You can travel comfortably with the train, and the total time to the airport should be 10 minutes.

Bus

The buses are just as popular as trains for inner city transport in Innsbruck, and can also take you to the airport from the city centre. The bus line F leaves every 10 minutes from Triumphpforte’den (Leopoldstraße) and takes you to Innsbruck Airport in 13-20 minutes. The F line bus costs 4 euro per one-way ticket, and some of the stops it goes through is Uni-Sportstätten, Steinbockweg, Fischerhäuslweg, Angergasse, Exlgasse ve Bachlechnerstraße.

Taxi

Taxis are usually not preferred for journeys that are more than a few minutes long in Innsbruck as the inner city transport is quite well developed and connected. Airport Information

Innsbruck Airport, that’s also known as Kranebitten Airport, is the biggest airport in the Tyrol region of Austria. Innsbruck Airport that opened for flights in 1925 is located in Innsbruck, one of the most touristic cities of Austria. You can get to the city center from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, which is located in the Gaziemir district 18 km away, by Havas shuttles, public buses, train, taxi or personal car. You can also rent a car at the airport.

Personal Car

If you are going to drive to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport using your personal car, you can get to central locations like Alsancak and Konak in about 30 minutes.

Havaş

Havaş shuttles are a good choice to reach the city center. Havaş shuttles provide high frequency transportation to the city starting in the early morning and continue until late at night. You can reach many locations both in the city and outside the city, like Alsancak, Karsiyaka, Kusadasi, and Aydin, using Havaş shuttles.

In addition, from March-October Havaş shuttles provide transportation to and from Çeşme.

Taxi

You can get to your destination quickly by taking a taxi. Taxis are located right outside the terminal. However, if you’re going somewhere outside of the city like Çeşme taking a taxi can be very expensive. We would recommend finding out the distance to your destination and calculating the fare before hand.

Bus

Public buses are another alternative to get to the city center. Using line 200 you can get to Mavisehir, using line 202 you can get to Alsancak and its surrounding areas, and using line 204 you can get to Bornova and its surrounding areas. Before getting on the bus purchase a Kentkart (smart card for fare payment), which is valid for the metro and train as well.

Train

The fastest and most practical way to get to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport is by train. The platforms are just outside the terminal, a short walk away. You can buy a Kentkart on the platform and take the train to the city center.

Rental Cars

Renting a car to get around in Izmir is a good idea, especially if you plan to spend a few days in the city and/or travel to the surrounding areas. You can reserve your vehicle in advance and pick it up from the car rental office located at the airport. You can return your vehicle at the airport rental office a few hours before your departure. In Izmir traffic is generally mild, with the exception of rush hour, which is another reason why renting a car can be more advantageous. You can watch aircrafts land and take off from almost every part of Adnan Menderes Airport. After you go through the security check there are many eating and drinking alternatives in the domestic and international terminals, including Kantin, Starbucks, Gloria Jean's, Cafe İzmir, Burger King and Beer Port.
