The Airport Express is the most widely used transportation system between the city center and the airport. The Airport Express operates 24 hours a day. The train ride from Hong Kong Station to the airport takes 24 minutes. The first trains depart from the city center at 5:50 am and the last trains depart from the city center at 12:48 am.

Bus

Another transportation alternative to get to the airport from the city center is by bus. Using this particular option you can enjoy unique views of Hong Kong on the way to the airport.  

Car

You can comfortably get to the airport using your personal car or a rental car. However, we recommend taking local traffic into account. Using the Tsing Ma Bridge from the city center you can easily get to the airport. The airport features a parking lot that has a capacity of 3,000 vehicles. The parking lot offers hourly, daily, monthly, or yearly rates.

The duty-free area located in Terminal 1 offers a variety of products from alcohol, to cigarettes, perfume, and chocolates.

There are many stores in the airport where you can buy things like affordable eyewear, watches, and jewelry. If you want something to eat at the airport you can enjoy dining at one of the many restaurants that serve Chinese cuisine or dine at venues like Popeyes and Panapolis. In addition, there are children’s play areas located in Terminal 2 and an IMAX Theater.

Al-Aqiq Airport is located about 30 kilometers east of the city center. Transportation to the city center is provided by taxi or car rental services from the airport, which has welcome many domestic and foreign visitors for many years. Inside the airport are car parking areas, car rental offices, a restaurant and a shopping center.

Rent a car

You can reach the city center from the airport by renting a car without loss of time. You can easily rent a car visiting the car rental offices at the airport or make a reservation before your flight.

Hotel Transfer Services

Since there are not many transportation alternatives in the city center of Al-Aqiq, the hotels provide transfer services as a comfortable option for their guests. Many hotel services pick you up from the airport to your hotel. In order to benefit from this option, you should contact your hotel and make a reservation in advance. There are many hotels providing transfer service between the hotel and the airport in the city center.

Taxi

You can reach the city center by taking a taxi at the exit of Al-Aqiq Airport. Since public transportation is less preferred in the city center, visitors prefer taking a taxi to reach the city center from the airport. Before you get in the taxi, describing the location of the hotel clearly and negotiating with the driver about taxi fare could prevent potential misunderstandings and problems.
