In the city where the rail transport system is not available, the only public transport alternative is the bus to get to the airport from the city center. You can reach the airport by bus only during the day as it does not serve at night.

Airport Information

The airport in Dakar's northern district is named after Léopold Sédar Senghor, Senegal's first president. The public also refer to the airport as Dakar Yoff Airport, with the airport’s former name. You can reach the city center by taking a taxi at the exit of Al-Aqiq Airport. Since public transportation is less preferred in the city center, visitors prefer taking a taxi to reach the city center from the airport. Before you get in the taxi, describing the location of the hotel clearly and negotiating with the driver about taxi fare could prevent potential misunderstandings and problems.
