Airport Transfer

Public Transport

It will be possible to reach the airport with the subway lines passing through Zamalek, Wasat Al-Balad and the Nile's eastern region, which we refer to as the center of Cairo, in a few years, but you can only reach the areas close by at the moment. Al Dock, Opera, Sedat (Tahrir) and Naguib are the metro stations close to the center.

You need to transfer to the Green Line at Attaba station from Yellow Line, which hosts the above mentioned stations.

Even if it does not reach the airport yet, you can get off at the Abbasiye station and complete the 15 kilometers distance by taxi or bus number 111. It is also possible to reach the airport by buses 27, 111, 356 from Tahrir Square where Sedat metro station is located.

Private Vehicle

Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

Airport Information

The airport, in the Heliopolis area, is the second airport in Africa with regards to passenger traffic. With the completion of the newly constructed terminals, there are also many possibilities offered for those waiting for their flight.

Hanimaadhoo International Airport is located 900 meters of the city center. It is even possible to get to the airport by walking and it only takes 10 minutes. Since Hanimaadhoo is a small island, there is no public transportation vehicle in the city. For this reason, you can only reach the airport with the car you rent or the airport shuttle service of the hotel you are staying at.

Car Rental

You can see the car rental companies at the airport. You can save time by making an online reservation before your arrival to the airport. In this way, you can receive your car at the airport without waiting.

To get to the city center from the airport with the car you have rented, you have to drive about 700 meters northward through Runway Magu Road and turn right when you see the sign that points to the city center. You can easily reach the city center in about 5 minutes.

It is important to remember that you need to make a reservation in advance by specifying the landing time of your plane and number of persons.
