From central locations in the city like the Old City, Cafer Cabbari, and Khatai you can take the metro to the 28 May and Koroglu stations. From here you can get on bus line 116, which runs to the airport or take a taxi to the airport.   

Personal Car

Since the city is rich in oil, fuel is cheap, making traveling by car a very attractive option. Getting to the city center from the airport is very easy. One of the city’s most important avenues, Heydar Aliyev Avenue will connect you to the Boyuk Shor Highway, which goes to the airport. From the highway take the Airport exit. The airport contains indoor and outdoor parking lots where you can park your personal car for a certain fee.

The international terminal has a large Duty Free shop as well as souvenir shops where you can buy items unique to Russian and Azeri culture. The airport features free wireless internet connection.

It takes about 26 minutes to get to the city center from the airport by taxi. Taxis depart from the terminal exit. In addition to getting a taxi in person once you exit the terminal you can also book a taxi online, through the app, or over the phone. The company offers an executive fleet of Mercedes for those who want to upgrade to use this service. They also feature vehicles that can hold up to 8 passengers. The company does not charge any additional fees such as baggage fees.

Bus

You can get to the city center from the airport via the Flying Tiger Bus vehicles, a cooperative bus company in the city. Buses are a more economical alternative compared to other methods of transportation. Buses to the city depart from the bus stops at the terminal. These buses are equipped with free internet access and real time bus information, which make traveling to the city by bus even more convenient. Bus line 757 operates every day, running once an hour in the evenings and every 30 minutes during the day. These buses run less frequently on Sundays.

Rental Car

Renting a car is another convenient transportation alternative to get to Leeds from the airport. It is a great option to explore the beauty of the city and its surroundings.
