You can reach the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport from the city in a very short time with a taxi. You can reduce the cost of travelling from downtown Anchorage to the airport and vice versa by using the bus. If you opted for a car rental, you can drop-off your hired vehicle at the airport. To reach the airport with your hired vehicle in approximately 20 minutes, you can either take the L Street or the O’Malley. The bus rooute 7 will significantly reduce the travel cost of getting to the airport from the city centre. This bus departs every 30 minutes and the travel duration is almost 30 minutes long. A one-way ticket costs 2 dollars.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is located 5 miles from the city centre. Considered as one of the most important connecting points in the U.S. state of Alaska, the airport does not have banks but several ATMs.  There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the airport, and mobile phone charging points can also be found in specific sections of the terminals.

Even though there aren’t any hotels attached to the terminal buildings, they are situated within proximity to the airport.
