The interregional bus line R51 RegioBus provides transportation to the central railway station in about 50 minutes, stopping in Sprakel and Greven along the way.

Train

The train lines in Germany, known as S-Bahn and operated by Deutsche Bahn (German Railways), are also an important part of intra-city transportation. Although there is no direct train service from the airport to Münster there are train stations located in close proximity to the airport, providing a public transportation alternative to buses with connecting lines from the nearby stations.

There are three main train lines that provide transport services throughout Münster. The red line provides transportation between the Hafen (Halle Münsterland), Hauptbahnhof (central railway station), Servatiiplatz, Lambertikirche (Prinzipalmarkt), and Grevener Straße stations.

The yellow line provides transportation between the Warendorfer Straße, Servatiiplatz, Lambertikirche (Prinzipalmarkt), and Schützenhof (Hammer Straße) stations.

The blue line provides transportation between the Wolbecker Straße, Servatiiplatz, Lambertikirche (Prinzipalmarkt), Neubrückenstraße, Stadttheater, Stadthalle, and Nordplatz stations. The Stadtwerke Osnabrück company, which coordinates bus services within the city, also organizes night buses (Nachtbus) that operate on Friday and Saturday evenings.
