Transportation from the City Center to the Airport:

The distance between the Aleppo Airport and the city center is short. However, since the airport is currently closed for commercial flights, you can use the closest airports to Aleppo, which are Hatay Airport and Gaziantep Airport. From these airports, you can rent a car and within 2-3 hours you can reach Aleppo city center. At Gaziantep Airport, there are seven car rental companies, both local and international and at Hatay Airport there are three local car rental companies. 

Also, some companies provide shuttle services to Aleppo from both airports; but lately, these companies have temporarily suspended their services. 

General Information About Aleppo International Airport (ALP):

Aleppo Airport has a history of almost 100 years and over the years, has been expanded and restored many times. The airport consists of 4 floors and it is located 7 kilometers from the city center. Aleppo Airport provides VIP Lounges, exchange offices, ATMs, a clinic, several shops, restaurants, duty-free, and a mosque. This airport is temporarily closed to commercial flights since 2011 and there is no clear date for its reopening.

Ternopil Airport which is 8 kilometers southeast of Ternopil in Ukraine. The public transport available is provided by vehicles such as taxis and buses. To travel to the region you can also choose to travel to Lviv International Airport, which is two hours away from the city and you can travel to Ternopil by buses departing from the city center of Lviv. Taxi

Passengers arriving at Ternopil International Airport can take a taxi to the Ternopil city center. Ternopil International Airport is just 8 kilometers from the city center. Taxis can be thought as as fast and budget friendly vehicles. The international airport in Lviv, which is one of the most visited cities in the country, is 2 hours away from Ternopil. For travellers arriving in Lviv, it is a much more costly alternative to travel to Ternopil by taxi due to the distance between them.

Rent a Car

Rental vehicles are especially preferred for those who land at Lviv International Airport and want to travel to Ternopil. Travelling between Lviv and Ternopil it will take about 2 hours. If you want to rent a car at the airport located in Ternopil, you can search for car rental companies near the airport and in the city center and book a car rental service before you arrive. The journey from Ternopil International Airport to the city center by rental car will ony take 15 minutes. Before hiring your car you can find out the required documents you need via internet or phone and then bring your documents with you and you can then easily collect your rental car.

Bus

Passengers flying into Lviv International Airport to travel to Ternopil can travel to the city center first from the airport, where they can then easily transfer to a bus that is heading in the direction of Ternopil. Ternopil buses depart from Lviv continuously during the day and bring passengers directly to Ternopil. At Ternopil Airport it may be a bit more difficult to find a bus. Passengers travelling to the area can contact the private bus companies in advance and book a bus to travel to the center of Ternopil from the airport. One of the main advantages of private buses is it allows passengers to travel directly to their destination in Ternopil.

Airport Shuttle

From Lviv International Airport or Ternopil Airport you can easily find and take advantages of shuttle services to bring you to the center. You can travel with private airport shuttles by per passenger or travel as a group. These vehicles are often more expensive when single passengers travel. As the number of passengers increases, shuttle services become more economical. Private shuttle services in Lviv and Ternopil accept payment in Ukrainian currency and foreign currency. This means that you can use the shuttle services without having to exchange currencies and enjoy an easy, enjoyable journey to Ternopil city center. The shuttle takes about 3 hours from Lviv International Airport to Ternopil.
