The station was opened during World War II as Royal Air Forces Station Agra and had a number of flying units located there. It was closed after the war and transferred to the Royal Indian Air Force (RIAF).

If you prefer using the means of public transportation, you can get to the city center by bus or central bus station by minibus.

Car Rental

At the airport, Avis, Europcar and Car Booking which is a local company offer car rental service. After renting your car, you can easily reach the city center by driving straight in south direction through the highway A-290. The travel lasts about 20-25 minutes under normal traffic conditions.

Bus and Minibus

Since the airport isn’t busy in the winter months and there are predominantly flights to only Moscow, you can only find a bus at the landing hour of Moscow plane. However, in the summer season the airport becomes busier and buses start operating at more frequent intervals on Vityazevo Airport – Anapa city center – Gelendzhik route. In addition, red minibuses numbered 3 depart every hour from the airport and go to the Anapa Bus Station.
