Airport Information

Sakirpaşa Airport is also open to international flights; the International Terminal, which has a capacity of 6 million passengers, came into service in 1997 and the Domestic Terminal came into service in 1984. For the passengers who use the international terminal, there are two restaurants and two buffets, one of which is in the clean area as well as a duty-free shop. If you want to go to Lecce city center from Brindisi-Salento Airport by car, you need to go straight on the SS613 road southwardly.

Taxi

It is possible to arrive at Lecce city center from Brindisi-Salento Airport in about 30 or 35 minutes by taking a taxi; however, you should keep in mind that the distance from the airport to Lecce is about 40 kilometers and taxi fare may be costly.

Bus

There are also the bus services from Brindisi-Salento Airport to Lecce city. Bus services are available between 6 am and 11:45 pm every day of the week and the buses depart at 2 or 3-hour intervals depending on passenger density. The bus journey takes about 40 minutes under normal traffic conditions.
