Sakirpaşa Airport is also open to international flights; the International Terminal, which has a capacity of 6 million passengers, came into service in 1997 and the Domestic Terminal came into service in 1984. For the passengers who use the international terminal, there are two restaurants and two buffets, one of which is in the clean area as well as a duty-free shop. There is a buffet in the domestic terminal and a café in the clean area. After coming to Jacmel city center by shuttle, you can easily travel to many places in the vicinity with the motor vehicles from here. Car rental is not a frequently used option in Jacmel by the passengers. You can reach many destinations from the airport using shuttles and motor vehicles.

Shuttles can be easily preferred for coming to the center from Jacmel Airport which is 15 minutes away. Both the shuttles and the motor vehicles that you can transfer to after getting off from shuttles are very affordable in Jacmel. You can use the shuttles to arrive at your hotel in the region; however, you might need to pay a bit more for this service. You can get help from your hotel in Jacmel in order to plan your journey to the center from the airport with private vehicles. Travelling with local shuttles is a suitable option for those passengers who are willing to have a fast and affordable journey.

It is not easy to find a taxi at the airport anytime, but you can use these means of transportation to get to Jacmel over Port-au-Prince, the capital of the country. While the taxi fares are a bit high because of the distance between, they usually are not a huge burden on the visitor’s budgets.
