Adana, which is the largest city in Mediterranean and Eastern Anatolia regions, is the Turkey’s fifth largest city that is connected to the world through Şakirpaşa Airport, which is located in Seyhan district. Municipality Buses

You can reach the airport from the city center by bus number 135, which runs hourly between 6 am and 7 pm every day from the airport and Çukurova University points. Taxi is one of the fastest and most economical ways to get to the airport from the city center. You can reach the airport at an affordable price by taxi from the many parts of Adana, though it is not as cheap as taking a bus.

Airport Information

Sakirpaşa Airport is also open to international flights; the International Terminal, which has a capacity of 6 million passengers, came into service in 1997 and the Domestic Terminal came into service in 1984. Despite the potential of the passengers, the airport offers limited facilities to spend time.

For the passengers who use the international terminal, there are two restaurants and two buffets, one of which is in the clean area as well as a duty-free shop. There is a buffet in the domestic terminal and a café in the clean area. Bus services start early in the morning and run until late hours at night for the passengers who would like to go to the city center. As an alternative to the bus, you can always find a taxi in front of the terminal building of Craiova Airport. It is possible to reach the city center from Craiova Airport in about 15 minutes by taxi or by bus.

Bus

The bus number 9 connect Craiova Airport and the city center directly to each other. You can find the buses running from 5:30 am at the stops in front of the Craiova Airport terminal. The last bus service departing from Craiova Airport to the city center is at 11 pm. Taxi

It is possible to travel to the city center by taxi from Craiova Airport, which is about 7 kilometers away. Taking a taxi may be a bit more costly than taking a bus; however, you can prefer taxi option for your journey from the airport to the city center without hesitation thanks to its advantages such as enough room for your luggage and fast transportation. Taxi fares may increase slightly at nights and on holidays at Craiova Airport terminal. Please keep in mind that you can negotiate with taxi drivers about average fares before getting in a taxi and then choose between taxi and bus. If you are going to land at the airport late at night or very early in the morning, the taxi could be said to be the only option you can take since there is no bus service at these hours. Visitors who are planning to stay in the area for a few weeks or more can also prefer renting a car.

After arriving at Craiova Airport, you can go directly to the car rental offices in the terminal and rent a car to reach Craiova city center. You can rent a car from companies such as Simbra, Autonom, 4C and AVIS at Craiova Airport. The passengers arriving at the airport during the hours when car rental offices are closed can take a taxi to the city center of Craiova.
