La Paz is the capital of landlocked Bolivia in South America. It means “The Peace” in Spanish. At 3, 600 metres above sea level La Paz is the highest capital city in the world. Average temperatures are 15 degrees in the winters and 22 degrees in the summers in the city. The summers are generally rainy, while it rains less in the winters.
