Burgas is the second largest coastal city in Bulgaria, after Varna. It is located on the south of the Black Sea coastline, bordering Kirklareli, Turkey. Burgas is the 4th largest city in the country, after Sofia, Plovdiv, and Varna. Burgas was under Ottoman rule from 1367-1908. Burgas is a port city, therefore an important part of the economy is derived from the tourism sector. Airport shuttle services offer this service a little more costly but more comfortable.

Bus
If you want to reach the city center by public transport, you can reach the city center in about half an hour by bus which you will get from the bus stops at the exit of the departing passenger terminal. The bus number for the city center is 15.
Hotel Shuttle
If you do not want to use public transport, you can choose your hotel’s shuttle service. Hotel shuttles meet customers at the exit of the baggage delivery area and take them to the hotel door quickly and smoothly. It's a little more costly. Taxis located at the airport are managed by Eko Taxi. You can reach the city center safely, at standard prices, and conveniently, with an airport-contracted taxi operated by a private company. The journey takes about 20 minutes.

At the airport there are offices of nine different car rental companies. Keep in mind that you must have an international driver's license to rent a car.
