Batumi Airport is one of three airports in Georgia that serves both international and domestic air travel. The airport has been operational since 2007. There are many transportation methods available to get to Georgia and northeast Turkey. Those who are traveling to Hopa, Turkey can take the Havaş shuttle buses. Havaş shuttle buses provide services for every plane that lands at Batumi Airport. Havaş shuttle buses depart for Hopa, Turkey 25 minutes after the flight has landed. The total trip takes about 45 minutes; you pass through the Sarp border and get dropped off at the Hopa Port.
