Bus

There are buses from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport that go all the way to Port Louis city centre. This usually takes around 1 hour. The buses leave every 30-60 minutes. Taking the bus from the airport is inexpensive compared with taking a taxi, especially during the day. Another disadvantage, besides the longer time, is that you might have to wait for up to an hour for a bus, compared to the comfort of getting on a taxi as soon as you land and being on your way. It might be more difficult to transport your luggage with the bus but on the other hand it's a fifth of the cost of taking a taxi. Once you have your car you can quickly reach Mahebourg by taking the A10 or you can reach the Port Louis by following the M2.
